Jiseon began learning about student basic needs in 2019 at both UC Davis and UCSD as an off campus student experiencing food insecurity, then as a volunteer and intern at the campus pantries. At UCLA, she is the Head of Advocacy at Swipe Out Hunger, the Data & Administration Coordinator at the CalFresh Initiative at UCLA, and a part of the Federal Relations team under the External Vice President Office of the Undergraduate Students Association Council.
